Anna Howard

Games Computing Graduate & Programmer/Game Developer

About Me

Hi! My name's Anna Howard, a MComp Games Computing graduate from the University of Lincoln. I'm primarily a game designer, writer, and programmer and I specialise in content design. Although my experience is not limited to games. It also includes community management, cyber security, animation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning among other subject areas.

I first started programming in 2012 after joining a computer science club when trying to decide what GCSE's to take. This also lead to the first game I ever made, a small text-based adventure written in Python. The games and projects I've worked on have since grown more and more complex over the years.

My programming experience is primarily with C#, C++, and Python. With my game development experience being primarily with Unity.

My most well known work includes Planetary Curios and Lost Spawn which were mods developed for Stellaris. as well as Team Chitin a story set in the world of Sleepless Domain. Outside of my modding and academic work I often develop small-scale projects to explore and learn about certain topics or areas. The code repositories for these projects and more can be found on my GitHub account found at the bottom of this page.

Beyond that I enjoy playing board games and video games with friends in my spare time.

Projects

A mix of projects developed independently or as part of academic study. Click on them to find out more!

Experiments

A collection of small-scale projects which were developed to explore and learn about certain subjects or techniques. Not all of these are polished and some got axed due to technical or design issues/limitations encountered during their development. However, many things were learnt during their development and the process of tinkering with them has been enjoyable. Click on them to find out more!
